Welcome to this weeks (early) IAAO email.

As mentioned in last weeks email, this weeks email is coming at you a day early due to me flying out to China on Sunday.

The curly & Swipezster show was back with a bang on Thursday. Both guys back together on Renegaderadio after a few weeks break from one another for various reasons. Dial-up Stu had an always on internet connection once again and Curly C Nesbit finally got the Mic to work...sort of.

I hesitate over how to begin this personal essay, not because my relationship with new skool jungle has been one of the love/hate variety � it has certainly seen lots of love and very little animosity � but because there arise a jumble of emotions when I turn my attention toward it, and the relationship has been one of ups and downs, and one that currently seems to spend most of its time in hibernation, though hibernations, in my experience, are often periods of preparatory dormancy after which a new growth pokes its head through the ground and reveals the creative transformations that were happening within, unbeknownst to their host, all along.

When its-all-about-oldskool.com was set up, it was for the sole purpose of creating a community for those who have a love of the old days and the various genres and scenes which it brought.

It is a free community and encourages all members to get involved in the various aspects that the forum has to offer. Be it music chat, general discussion and the sharing of oldskool music. It is a non profit community built on the love of the old days.

With this in mind, there are some who will join this community and see it and use it as a means of gaining access to music for personal pleasure, other websites/forums and in some cases, profit. At the same time they will not get involved in this community and not contribute in any

Well folks I hate to say this but I'm retiring.
I've been contemplating this all year but I know it's time.
23 years of Dj'ing has taken it's toll and to coin a phrase, "I'm too old for this shit!"
I want to spend more quality time with family. I have a beautiful wife and a crazy 3 year old son who need me to be a responsible husband and a daddy.
The long hours involved are wrecking me and to be honest I'm not enjoying it anymore.
I have to be wasted to have a good time and the hangovers last for days now.

This is hot off the press (not literally as I don't have a printing press and this isn't a newspaper, it's an email) Swipezster is back on the airwaves. After 2 weeks off our resident hairdresser by day and DJ by night has, get this, 2 shows this week on Renegaderadio. The first is Monday (23rd August) from 5pm till 7pm. I have been asked to do the honours on this album and it would be great to have some of you guys on board. I have already contacted quite a few people directly but anyone who I haven't contacted, thats because i didn't have a direct contact for you so I am doing it through various Forums. So if you are into producing tunes, hit me up... Anything from 130 - 150 across the board will be considered (Hardcore Breaks, Ravebreaks, Breaks, Electro House, J-Tek, Dubstep)...
