This arrived in Dublin Today for me

Its a clone of the TB-303. Reversed engined to sound just like it. Mines the very same only it has red LEDs like the original.

    msprim and Leonized like this.

Love it. How much did that cost? I love the 303 but I'm not good at programing acid lines so I use a 303 rompler called Silverbox. Does the job quite well.

I had a go of one of these last year. Authentic 303 sounds, but much easier for me to use my ABL2 vst which is 'free' & I can assign the filters to my usb keyboard so can tweak 'live' if needed.
Plus the vst has extra things on it which these boxes don't (unless u pay for the extra alterations).

If you have a hardware studio though, then I'm sure this would be a good buy - probably half the price of a real TB303 & sounds almost identical.

I'm happy to hear it sounds like one. I know the company say it does, but of course they will lie to flog you anything. Its reversed engineered from a TB303 so they say. That ABL2 is a great synth but not for 303 sounds, I love to make basslines and sequences on it. Its a fucking nightmare for trying to do pads!

ABL2 is a 303 clone, so does those acid style sounds very nicely :

    abl2-demo-with-fx.mp3 - DivShare
(Demo I did the other day - along with some fx and how they make the synth sound)

You can't do pads on it.

My mistake I was thinking of ABL Bassline PRO which is a Modular Synth. ABL is good but I'd much rather use this 303 vst:
D16 Group Audio Software - Beyond Perfection - Phoscyon

Yeah the pro is something I've not had a proper go of yet (quite complex!).

And that D16 synth is the other one I was trying to think of - has a few extra nice bits you can do with the accent / filter controls.

Yeah its pretty complex but once you get your head around it you can make some excellent sounds on it.
