Digital recording from decks and mixer

I have my set up of decks and mixer but its no where near my computer and I don't have a laptop.
What is a good device to record my mixes on to, preferably straight to mp3 if possible??
I dont want a tape recorder again or a cd one either so really want a little device I can plug into the output of my mixer and record direct on to.
I looked on decks.co.uk but couldn't see what I needed, I'm sure such a thing exists.

    Any help or suggestions?

    Thanks

I've got one of these gathering dust in a cupboard. I used it literally about twice and that was about 5 years ago.

Think it was about £200 when I bought it and that doesn't seem to have changed much over time.

Would be happy to get a few quid for it if you wanna go down the CD recording route.

I like the look of that one, bit more than I wanted to pay but may be worth it just to get some mixes recorded.

    Cool

my advice would be buy, if ya able to, a cheap 2nd hand, older laptop and stick audacity on it ... record all as wav, then use flac front end to extract the flac ... then use dbpoweramp to rip an mp3 ... if ya gonna do it, ya might as well do it properly

If any of my uploads have dead links, please PM me for a re-upload

your mp3s will be a tiny bit better if you extract straight from Audacity instead of converting from wav/FLAC.
