You're better off going through your tracks & finding 40 or so that you know will go well together for a certain mix, be it happy, dark, hard etc & putting them on a disc or 2 them mix the shit out of them.

I always find a bunch of tracks that i think will go great together, put them in a folder & mix them randomly & get a half decent mix... Then you know which tunes to mix & at what time to mix them & can better the test mix that you've done

I'm still fucking my mixes up... Only ever had 1 perfect mix & an old (ex) friend nicked the tape

The best mixes are always lost or stolen for unknown DJ's mate... Mainly due to you being so proud of them you want people to hear them & then they are gone

Thank god for digital... Now i can do shit mixes & everyone hears them

Seems like a nice starter package

As long as they play tracks and the mixer mixes them that's all that matters. You don't really need bells and whistles. It's about mixing music, nothing more nothing less.

I think we get lost sometimes with technology when DJ'ing. But when it all boils down to it, you play music, simple.

Saphires are now Decks? I didn't know that. I remember Saphires advertising in DJ Mag at the back of the mag. I nearly bought a new mixer from them around 1997.

But I get all my stuff from Decks now. Although there is a good shop in Manchester, but they don't have a website.

    Here's a few links

I would love this package - DJ Equipment, Digital DJ Equipment, DJ Mixers - decks.co.uk

Some packages i'm looking at -

DJ Equipment, Digital DJ Equipment, DJ Mixers - decks.co.uk

I'll more than likely get one of these packages though

DJ Equipment, Digital DJ Equipment, DJ Mixers - decks.co.uk

DJ Equipment, Digital DJ Equipment, DJ Mixers - decks.co.uk

I think i'll go for the RMX to be honest - might go for a higher priced package for better speakers or i might go for the top package just means i'll have to save for a bit longer

See what i mean i can't make my mind up

The shop itself was called Sapphires China (not sure if it still is though) - i lived 2 mins away from it so got all my gear there - if you google sapphires the decks site comes up

    4 channel mixing
fader can be upgraded to; "innofader pro" world best customizable fader
    works with traktor or vdj

    £399

you can plug 2 x turntables into the built in mixer aswell
better value for your money then that numark / gemini bundle mate
