How best to clean your turntables?

Wasn't sure where to put this, so here will do.

I've just got my hands on a pair of Numark TTX1's & they have a rubber finish instead of Metal or hard plastic & any kind of cloth i use to clean them leaves bits all over them (the rubber is slightly sticky)...

Does anybody have any idea how to clean them effectively please

dousing said numarks in petrol and setting light to them usually removed any fluff mate, but then its probably the fluff keeping them together

That'll be difficult... I piss like a racehorse... I'll have to keep squeezing to stop the flow

get yourself some lint free cloths, the sort used for cleaning screens and lenses.

that way you wont leave little bits all over em.

use low tack tape to lift the fluff off

then paint them in black gloss paint

I've been using the sponge for washing up & it's doing a good job but the fuckin' decks have got a layer of shit on them that's hard to scrub off... I've been using water & vinegar with the sponge & i'm on my 3rd sponge & only cleaned one of the buggers
