Traktor vs Serato is much of a muchness imo but I'm a happy Traktor Scratch Pro user with timecodes, controllers and the real thing.

I'm also using Traktor Scratch Pro with vinyl timecodes and 1210's. I can see the point of the controllers for people who don't have and turntables, but never got my head around why people would use CD timecodes, although I suppose in the long run it does save time and money not having to burn off CD's all the time.

I've had Serato for a while now and only know how to switch it on, I've not looked any further into it with regards to beat matching and all that jazz.

My technics, a mixer and 2 timecoded vinyls is all I need to know

I like Serato but lots of clubs are ditching turntables altogether and have a pair of Pioneer CDJs as standard.. Plus its a pain taking a laptop out ans setting up.
So i just stick with playing cds

with serato it's all about the vinyl
there is no point in timecoded cds (?!)

    Cool

Though i much prefer playing on the 1210's, i have embraced technology and will happily play on any media (CD's, USB's, Midi Controller or even just stand-alone VDJ)

my set yesterday on RR was played using serato itch and my pals Vestax 300 mk2 Midi Controller (he'll loan it me any time i need for any future shows, should i get any) ... for my sets at Shotta TV, i have a choice of decks or CD's/USB's on the Pioneer CDJ-350 Pack

but for home mixing, i only have VDJ

If any of my uploads have dead links, please PM me for a re-upload
