Thread: Remix Compo Anyone?

Thought it's about time for a good old remix / production compo


Aike sent me a load of sci-fi type samples ages ago, and also have a few bits myself, so if anyone's up for it, I'll get a big pack of stuff up'd.


No major rules - just in an old skool-ish / jungle / techno style & preferably less than 6mins long.


Anyone up for it, pm me so we can keep the entrants anonymous


Gonna lock the thread & re-open it once we're ready to go.

** Ok - got the sample pack ready (almost 300mb of bits & bobs!!)

Okedoky - sent quite a few packs out now, so time to update with some details:


Pack contains loads of sci-fi / film samples with a few synth sounds as well.
All you need to do is make a tune (or two) using some samples from the pack & whatever else you have to hand.


Ideally in an old skool hardcore / jungle style.
BPM - 135-180 is fine.
Tune Length - try to keep under 6 mins.


Once somethings been made, just pm a download link to it.
I'll then (at the end of the compo), upload all the files ready for voting


Deadline to get something over to me : End of Dec 4th (Sunday)
Then the voting will commence for a week - only people with 10 posts or over can vote & only those registered before todays date.


Compo being run on here & on the b2vos forum, but results will be combined.

Going to work in a mo, so will probably be tonight when I collate everything together & will post the entries and details up tomorrow morning
