With regards to the FLAC/WAV thing - it doesn't bother me whether Serato doesn't play FLACs I know FLACs are smaller file sizes but i prefer WAVs as everything plays them

I know some Traktor fans will dislike this statement but it's my opinion - sorry Dodders
I didn't mean it was you that had a Serato fixation, sorry if it came across like that, just reading different forums and websites it almost seems the only DVS is "Serato", a bit like people refer to a vacuum cleaner as a "hoover" if you get my drift.

I was just suggesting you look at other options before you part with any of your hard earned. Unless you know someone with a DVS setup you can try, or there's a DJ equipment store with setups you can try before you buy I suppose it's a bit difficult to work out which one would be best, only got online reviews to go off really. A m8 of mine recently bought Serato and then ditched it pretty quickly because he didn't get along with it.

No offence was taken with your comment Si Cosis

As Dodders has said, it's horses for courses - i have tried to use Traktor software in the past and i don't like it - it doesn't suit me which is why i have decided to go for Serato - i have looked at the set up of Serato and it seems easy enough to use - i have to get a laptop too as my PC is too old and won't handle the software but i would have had to do this for Traktor too if i was getting it. But a few people i know have had problems with Traktor software which is another reason i have swayed towards Serato

But thanks for showing the other options available apart from Serato, i have done my homework before i decided which to go for, but it can help someone else to have a look around first before they decide

Just like to say I take back what I said about traktor. I got it working sweet now, mixer fully mapped and works great.

As for serato. If they updated the interface to something that doesn't look like it was made for the C64 then I might have bought it!

Your knowledge must be limited if you're not rating the Sennheiser HD25's....

big difference between the HD-25 and the HD-25SP
totally different speakers in the headphones for starters.

one set are pony and the other some of the best monitoring headphones you can buy
