    USB Soundcards

I need to get a USB Soundcard so i can use my headphones while mixing with my Hercules mp3 mixer. I have had a look around and most look really cheap I don't want to pay the earth but i want a decent USB Soundcard that will last.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance

I checked the ESI sound cards and they are too pricey for the equipment i'm using I just want a cheap one that works and won't fall apart

I saw some for £3-£4 on Ebay but they look shit.

I am using a Hercles Controller MP3 e2 mixer - it doesn't have a built in soundcard so i can use the headphones while cueing a track but i saw this one.

    BEHRINGER UCA202: Amazon.co.uk: Musical Instruments

    or

    Behringer U-Control UCA222: Amazon.co.uk: Musical Instruments

    What do you reckon?

BEHRINGER UCA202 Will do the job fine

    specs for it
    ASIO low-latency audio driver support
    • 32-bit floating point audio engine
    • Sample rates from 44.1 to 192 kHz
    • 3-band parametric EQ
    • 2 VST insert slots per channel
    • 3 VST master effect slots

this is important anything you want has to say this • ASIO low-latency audio driver support
the cheap soundcards using Direct sound or DX will have latency (you may hear the sound 0.5 seconds behind real time ) not good for mixing ..

BEHRINGER UCA222 will do the job also and has slightly better specs for the different in price a good buy

With Behringer UCA222 - will there be a time delay also?

If there is i wouldn't be interested in buying it.

Do you have any suggestions on a good soundcard that will have no time delay?

With Behringer UCA222 it uses 64 bit drivers im sure they will be fine though i don't have any real world experience of using them as its a more expensive product on sure it will be fine .

anything by M-audio i would recommend (2nd hand bargans on ebay every now and then )

but as i said BEHRINGER UCA202 will defo do what you want
