Nero won't copy a protected disc.

Are you 'backing up' film dvds?

    If so:

Anydvd (which runs in the background to remove encryption).
Clonedvd 2 (which reads the disc & then burns it to a blank disc).

Yeah I forgot to mention software like any DVD to have running in the background. However, I'm using Any DVD alongside Nero & it's very rare I come across a DVD that I can't copy

Does nero squish it to fit if the original file is bigger than 4.7gig?

No it doesn't! Fair point there billybob, when I have a film that's bigger than 4.7gig I use DVD Shrink

That's what i use, great software in my opinion

I've used it back up 500+ of my genuine dvd's & only had a problem with the encryption on a couple, updated Anydvd & that problem was solved
