Thread: best software for direct recording

did a mix today and recorded it to cassette ,then used a converter to put on audiocity but i listerned to it and it was full jumps in the recording , so im looking for a way to record directly to my laptop , you all know me i havent got a scoobie on the tech side off stuff so any advice would be great , cheers

Buy a phono/rca to 3.5mm jack lead, plug it into your Mic in socket on the lappy and use audacity. Dead easy. also run a line from the headphones jack to the mixer and you can listen back through the mixer.

A MASSIVE DICK I AM , as soon as read tihs i went oh yeah , thats how i do my rips of vinyl ( yes i am that thick ) so got it sorted hanging my head in shame

& your direct drive turntables will probably also be better than your ion thingy(i think i read somewhere thats what u use) for ripping tunes

i had a pair of belt drive decks ( till last week ) i was using mate to rip my vinyl mate now got a pair of directs
