    Has Anyone Used Platinum Notes?

Platinum Notes - Improve Your MP3s (Audio Software)

I've had a quick play with this programme and it does make a noticeable difference to the music I put to it.

Has anyone got this programme or have any opinion on it?

Just one other thing on this.

I'm not talking putting crap sounding music into it and hoping something good comes out of it. I'm just talking about improving something which is already good, like levelling the volume etc.

i have Platinum Notes 2.0 and i put a folder with a shit load of oldskool tunes in it and some were shit sounding low bitrate mp3s and it made hell of a difference lol

as far as i know you use it with somthin called mixed in key i know people that use mixed in key and they swear by it
i think mixed in key tells you what you need to do in Platinum Notes to make it sound good ie change sound vol and key i think lol

i jus put stuff in and let it do its own thing and yes stuff did sound better and all the mp3s are now 320s lol but i have been told it makes some things sound funny the hi-hats sound odd ?

maybe someone whos a bit more clued up on both programs can tell us more as i think it is a good tool and would like to know more about it

been looking into mixed in key, and thats brought me to platinum notes. I noticed a thread about it on here yesterday and mixed in key led me to platinum notes...funny how things work. I haven't downloaded it or used it but I will look into it, because varying levels are a problem Ive had since moving from a vinyl to digital set up (so much so that I haven't recorded any mixes yet, but I am a bit of a perfectionist)

heres the wheel chart for harmonic mixing, it might be helpful for people who are wondering what its all about. Ive also put a link to the how to guide for it, its really simple

    How-To Guide from Harmonic-Mixing.com

Mixed In Key - Harmonic Mixing DJ Software
I've had mixed in key for a few years now.

I decided to get it because I was very interested in Harmonic mixing and wanted to learn more about it. Mixed in key seemed to be the best programme out there for telling you the key of tracks.

Once I learnt the basics using the wheel that junglist76 has posted in this thread, I found mixing Harmonically a breeze. My mixes sounded fantastic because of it and in some cases you couldn't tell a new song was coming in (unless you made a mistake and the songs went out of sync of course )

I don't do it as much now as I felt it can take away the spontaneity of mixing. But for those that want to try it, you can't go wrong with mixed in key

very true, Im thinking more of getting the "turds" the same size and shape rather than polishing them.

Been looking about the net and the opinion on platinum notes is mixed, Would like to try a demo to see what its like before going for the full programme, but they don't do demos, a bit stupid really considering the software is about 40 odd quid.

Think smdj1 started a thread BITD and then haze and I drifted off on another discussing this where I'd realised I'd made a big mistake.
I also gave the software to waard I think in pm and he didn't like it much...

all I'll say mate is back up your original files before overwriting them with the PN 'enhanced' files and don't make the same mistake I did...

(all I'll say mate is back up your original files before overwriting them with the PN 'enhanced' files and don't make the same mistake I did... )
i have made sure to back up my original files first i should have said that

as for mixed in key telling you what to do in platinum notes ? it didnt tell me shit lol just what key the mp3 was

China-Rising i have stoped using the Harmonic mixing thing as much now, as you said the spontaneity of just playing what you want when you want is lost i found it stoped my using tunes i have always used and liked but because they were not mixing Harmonically i would play another tune instead lol
