    iTunes formats?

I'm quite anti-Apple, but there's this bloke at work who doesn't believe I can get him more-or-less any track (courtesy of soulseek) he requires for his iPhone.

He's not too computer-savvy and asked me to e-mail him some tracks (RnB ), but I know for a fact that iTunes dont play mp3 tracks.

I do however have an ace converter which can convert an mp3 into any kind of audio format....

So, what format(s) does iTunes accept?

    IAFF? AAC? MA4?

And is it that simple that I can e-mail him any format that is best for his iPhone so he can download it straight onto his blower (via iTunes obviously)?

    Help appreciated

Tell him to download the app from app store called T-Pain - He can make his own auto tuned shite with that (it all sounds the same anyway) :ymdevil:

Other than that any standard mp3 for audio (any bitrate) mp4 for video this is the mobile device standard and is H264 which most apps will output!

I think Swipezster just wants to know the format to send and the guy will add the tunes himself.

If it's an iPhone that app will not work unless you jailbreak the device. If you update your device then you wont be able to jailbreak as there is no jailbreak for the current o/s at the moment.

How on earth did JJ Frost is a mix master appear on my profile? I have to say the one thing that guy can't do is mix LOL

I might have got the wrong of the stick on this BUT iTunes is compatible with MP3's - I have a Mac and use iTunes for all my music. It is all in MP3 format and they get happily copied across to my iPhone (3G). iTunes actually has a function to "create MP3 version" in it...

Yep, you are right. Itunes does play MP3, it will also let you change the default format from AAC to MP3 when you rip CD's.

It's WMA it's not compatible with but it will also convert those for you as well to either AAC or MP3.

This is the same for both Mac and PC.
