    Cool MP3 cleaning

    alloz peepz

i'm soon to recieve my long searched for DJ Vertigo mix tape ... i'm told it's not great quality, hardly surprising news given that it was recorded in 1992, and is a tape of a tape lol

my question is, who amongst you is the best MP3 cleaner and would you be so kind as to have a go when i recieve the MP3's?

If any of my uploads have dead links, please PM me for a re-upload

I've been known to have a dabble myself & will happily give it a go - not prmising miracles tho.

Agreed, but the job you did with the 100% levels was much better

    mp3 cleaning. ffs

if it's in mp3 then doing any post production on it will just make the sound worse as you're starting with a compressed, low quality (even at 320) audio file.

you can really only clean up wavs and even then what you can do is seriously limited.

not sure i agree there mate, still plenty can be done from removing hiss/noise to increasing the db either manualy or via hard limiting also stereo imagery and numerous other things can be tried to improve a poorly recorded tape
