    stereo mate

joint stereo is basically the application of a mathematical algorithm to the compressed audio. it's designed to shrink mp3 files further and is not really true stereo. other formats have it too though they often change the name as joint stereo is a bit misleading.

    hope that helps

    yep just "Stereo"

I believe Joint Stereo also saves the file as separate channels ie. 2 files "Left" & "Right"

    I always use joint stereo.
I thought it just saved the differences between the left & right rather than using up full bandwidth for each channel, therefore producing better sound overall.
