    tape clean up with goldwave

    hey if i downloaded a 192kbps tape rip and the tape was quiet a bit too bassey you no the normal tape to mp3 problem is there anyway to clean it in goldwave so it sounds better? without throwing it into cubase and doing a long arse eq of the whole recording ?

    obviously the fact its 192 dont help at all lol... im asking before i even try its gtn late lol

    In my experience there's no quick fix to cleaning up mixes and old recordings regardless of programs. Slow and steady eq'ing is the way to do it.

    hey just been working at it and jumped back on to see if there was any comments, your deffo right goldwave have a few presets that help but leave it to tingy or to bassey sound at low levels it sounds like the problem is solved but and then high end will rip u a near ear hole lol
