    Uploading To Youtube

I'm trying to upload some hardcore to youtube but i'm having some trouble doing so.At first i tried with an mp3 file (coz me not know what i'm doing ) & once uploaded it stated 'failed (unable to convert video file)'.I click on this link & it says
'This message means that your video is in a format that our converters don't recognize. Try converting the video into a different format with a converter or editing program and then uploading it again'.
I then tried again converting my mp3 to a mpeg4 format as i searched & found that this was a suitable format.Once again i had the same message again telling me it wasn't a suitable format.Next time i converted mp3 to mov format, another which was recommended but yet again the same outcome.
Can somebody please point me in the right direction as i have not got a clue what i'm doing?

You need to upload a video file rather than an mp3.
And for that you need some video making software.
What operating system do you have?
I use Sony Vegas 10 at the mo, but it only seems to install on Win XP (32 bit).
There are other bits of software, but for a simple image in the background and adding an mp3, this prog is fairly easy.

For the actual mp3, you'll need to convert it to mono (pref mono 64kbs 44.1khz) - stereo files sometimes make youtube bugger the volume up, and it goes up and down depending on how loud certain parts of the tune are.
I use Adobe Audition for doing this.

    Cheers for the reply BB.
My operating system is Mac OS X 10.5.8.Would the programs you mentioned support mac, usually they don't? I'm guessing there must be a program i could use to support my system just don't know which.
Is just converting an mp3 to mpeg, mov, avi, flv etc not the right method?
Youtube make it sound simple with their instructions but it appears more complicated than they make out.
    Either that or i'm thick.

No idea with a Mac I'm afraid.
And nothing is ever simple when you're told it is

What tune are you trying to up?
I don't mind doing a one off for you if u like to get you started - just pm me a link to the file & a pic you want as the background (bare in mind it needs to be 'widescreen 16:9') - I can trim as needed.

When I make videos to upload tunes to youtube, using Windows Movie Maker, I simply put a picture of the record as the visual and then use the tune as the audio, then publish the video.

I think this is the process you would do for any video making software.
