    WAV Tagging

I was wondering whether there was any programs for tagging WAVs - like the mp3tag for mp3s.

I have a load that need to be tagged properly so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance

WAVs can't be tagged msprim as far as I know. They aren't like MP3's. You can only name the file, other details can't be added.

I was wondering that too because when i rip a record i can only change the name on a wav, but when i ripped a CD to wav through Windows Media Player it gave it properties (i couldn't alter them though)... Confused.com

That's a good point. Mediamonkey is my favourite Music programme in the whole wide world and I use it every day. I loved it so much I purchased the Gold version. I think I'm going to have to check this out and see if it's true.

Yeah MM does - but its a bit odd.

I've tagged plenty of wavs with it but for some reason, when i then go to play those wavs Traktor says the info can't be read - even though i'm reading it. Even more bizzarly, it adds nothing to the track. When i say nothing, what i mean is it adds a couple of hours worth of nothing to the end of a track. So your 5 min wav turns into a 2 hr wav. I have to physically open the track in SoundForge to delete the extra nothing.

It will on occasion add what i can only describe as "loading noise" (speccy, c64 etc) - but only a couple of mins worth - then its back to the hours of nothing.

So yes it can be done - but there's some odd side effects

I've just installed it simply for the tagging of wavs & it's a piece of piss Just right click on Properties & there's another tab there to ID Tag, hit that & then change the details

I just ripped a singles CD & the tags it got from the internet were totally wrong That's why i installed it & i'm chuffed to bits that i did... Just got to tag all these thousands of wavs i've got knocking about

    Cool

if ya have DBPoweramp installed, all ya have to do is 'right click' on the file ya want to edit and an 'edit id tags' option will be available in the menu ... simples ... aaaaand if any one wants the full, as opposed to the trial, version of DBPoweramp, drop me a line

If any of my uploads have dead links, please PM me for a re-upload

I downloaded & installed the full version

It's nice to finally be able to edit the properties of the wavs though
