Thumbs down BT Are Urine Extractors

Just had a look at my online BT bill and discovered that on Tuesday 08th June 2010 I downloaded 15Gb, so they've charged me for going over my 10Gb allowance... ermmmmm, yeah great - if I was in the country, which I wasn't!!!

    Change of supplier, me thinks

The 02 package looks good at the moment with landline aswell, was just wondering what you guys use - Virgin is out of the question btw

I have Sky+ HD with all the bells and whistles on it and they don't offer their services if you have a Virgin landline.

My actual gripe with Mr. Branson is that he has to let go of that long hair and silly beard

How long have you got left on your contract with BT? I ask 'cus I have my landline & internet with BT & I've had a few issues with them myself so wanted to take my business elsewhere. The problem is if you cancel before the contract is up you have to pay so much for each month remaining, & I only took my contract out in April so it would cost me silly moneyl! Scamming bastards!

Also they should only charge you for going over your limit if you've done so two months in a row. But as you said if you were away then you can't have gone over your limit!

Don't know how the Virgin HD thing works in relation to Sky but a little while ago we worked out that if we got Virgin+ multi-room with maximum channels + Sky Sports package plus their 50mb internet connection & their basic land-line, it would cost us £5 cheaper than what we're paying Sky & BT atm. Just haven't got round to doing it yet but pretty sure we will.

EDIT: If thats your only gripe with BT, why not upgrade to their unlimited package. Only downside is that if u d/l more than 100GB a month they slow your speed during peak hours. Oh, and as Rog found out, they throttle u on some p2p sites.

I'm with O2 Broadband and have been for a few years.

They are very good, speed is great, cheap and i've had no problems with them what so ever.

As posted earlier, I'm looking into that one - had my mobile network with them for over 10 years and very happy with the company

If that's the case, then you will also get a discount on your BB, £5 and it may be even more if you get your phone line from them.

I don't understand how O2 are giving better deals than BT, are they not the same company?
