converting vhs/camcorder tapes to dvd ?

my girlfriends gran as some vhs/camcorder tapes of my girlfriends mum before she past away (they hold some precious memories because her mum died of cancer when my girlfriend was seven years old) and she wants them on dvd to send to her other sisters. the problem is that they are in america, there the only copies so i did not want to take the risk of fucking them up.

what i need to do is send her the info on the best way to convert them ? keep in mind she is like 70 !

This is what you need fella: ION VCR2PC USB-Video Player: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

you should be able to get it in the US.

Or you could try a DVD & VHS combi player/recorder.

    Toshiba and Panasonic do them.

The Toshiba is around £300 and the Panasonic is around £250.
