    Hard drive copy question

    Maybe someone could help me.

If you are copying a hard drive, and the drive you are copying "to" is formatted for pc, will the drive being copied "from" also have to be formatted pc? or would it work copying from either a mac or pc formatted drive.

    if that makes any sense,

    thanks in advance

depends how the Mac drive is formatted. FAT32 fomatted drives can be used by both Mac's and PC's. If the drive was formatted by with a Mac to HFS or HFS+ format then you will need to get software for the PC to read the drive.

Let me google that for you

Pc to Pc shouldn´t cause any alarming problems. If you do have large files <4gb than the destination disk needs to be NTFS formatted. Is it a extern disk that you are trying to copy?
If its a intern disk than raw sector copying could be an alternative. (go for the ultimate boot disk Ultimate Boot CD - Overview)

    Cheers,
