    How Fast (or slow) is your broadband



    Can anybody beat this...location CR3
    Im used t0 15-18mb + on a daily basis at home in Swindon, but this is all I get whilst at the in-laws in Caterham

    I use speedtest.net

    I'm in Swindon using Sky Broadband. Supposed to get upto 20Mb, but as per usual with Sky, it's shite and I get a download speed of about 3.48Mb.

    Fookin marvellous! That said, I think it also depends on where you are located and the type of phone line you have apparently.

    I to am in Swindon, and used to have Sky BB but it was shit. So I went over to 02 premier and It's fantastic. no disconnects or loss of service.. It's to do with them using a new interchange or something as i'm in Hayden end and Sky was using an old interchange in Blunsdon which was over used...

    Quite slow round here in comparison to most peeps..... but it is free as my work pay for the broadband & the phone so can't complain!

    I'm also presuming it's up to 8mb....

    I pay for 10Mbs



    I tried it 5 times and that was the best I got, download speeds were anywhere from 5Mbs to 7Mbs, pretty shit really when you look at what shroomz is getting Maybe I should move to Korea, lol

    What's most annoying is the upload speed, shroomz gets to upload at more than half the speed of his download speed, but all us mugs in the UK only get to upload at less than 1 tenth of our download speed, pretty sucky for all us file sharers
