Once you have verified your bank account with paypal you don't need to do anything else. You will be given a limit with paypal (a bit like a credit card) and when you make a payment out of paypal it automatically debits your bank account.

For example if you buy something for £10 using paypal it will automatically take that fom your bank account.

As I remember (unless it's changed), paypal put 2 small amounts in your bank account - ie, something like 23p & 50p for eg.
You then type in these amounts within paypal to verify the account (as only you would know what amounts have gone into your bank). This usually takes around 4-5 days to appear in the account once paypal send it.
