    Philips Flatscreen PC Monitor Help

I have a Philips PC monitor and over the last 3 days i have been having problems with it.

In the evening before i go to bed my PC is normally still switched on but i turn my PC monitor off by pressing the button with the green light above it. When i get up in the morning i then press the same button to turn on the PC monitor and the green light flashes on and off for a minute and also the screen flickers on and off during this time and then everything is normal - the green light stays on and so does my screen - this has been happening for a few days and i'm hoping it's nothing serious and is just a minor problem.

Can anyone help me sort it out?

No help i'm afraid but i'd thought i'd share the fact that mine will switch itself back on during the night - and then to confuse the issue the timer on it kicks in - so i get up to a blank screen, i hit the power button on the monitor, which turns it off, i then turn it back on but until the mouse gets nudged the screens stilll blank.

Really not what u need before coffee

It sounds like it's deciding which source it's supposed to be attempting to display.
Try reseating the cables at both ends (computer and monitor) and check the default source setting in the monitor settings. On the computer, check the display settings and power management and the driver for the monitor haven't changed.
If you normally run the monitor with the default settings (I do with my Phillips) you could try the auto setup in the monitor settings. If you're not running with the default settings (changed the colour/contrast/brightness etc yourself) don't run the auto setup cos you'll lose those settings.
