I use this one http://www.webroot.co.uk/En_GB/consu...pysweeper.html and have done for a couple of years now. For me it's the best there is. You have to pay for it, but it's worth every penny. I haven't come across another product which detects as much as this one does.

I think they have a free scan on the site as well, it's worth having a look.

Erm, it's hard to really say what's better than what isn't.

I have tried Avast in the past and I found it didn't find as much spyware as Spysweeper.

I would say get a copy and give it a try and see which one you prefer or is better for you.

Now that i've used Spysweeper for the past couple of years, I will never use anything else.

Avast Professional is not a proper Spyware/Malware removal Application
it is a Anti Virus Application complete different kettle of fish
it does have a good Dos based Boot time scan option though

is that the key for the pro edition ? if it is how do i go about getting it buddy,im fed up with free a/v's

You can download avast from there website
the serial will work on any version (home/pro)
it will update the software accordingly to the serial version
