Two handy tools
Not sure they work on XP i'm sure they would so try anyways. The First one is called unlocker, ya know sometimes with Vista when you try to delete say a folder or a file off the desktop of wherever it might be and its says some bolloxolgoy like this:
Cannot delete file: Access is denied
There has been a sharing violation.
The source or destination file may be in use.
The file is in use by another program or user.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use
Well chances are one them reasons listed is the problem well all ya do is install Unlocker and right click on the folder or file and hit "Unlock" SORTED!
Next one is called "Take Ownership" i know this fuckin pissed me off so much, i'm the only user of my PC and therefore i am an administrator but sometimes when i tried to open certain folders windows says
"You dont have full rights to open this" or some shite like that, anyways the soultion is a small reg hack through the command line that gives you rights to access all files if your not allowed to view them. Just install it and then right click on the folder and hit "Take Ownership"
