    Rapidshare's New Points System

For those of you on Rapidshare, you may have seen the email they sent out to users regarding their new payment system and points system.

Well, the first email regarding this I think you would need a doctorate in mathematics to understand it.

They then scrapped this because of the confusion, and they have updated this system, and now instead of a doctorate, you now only require a masters.

Anyway, I had a load of points to extend my account and using the new system, I have now extended my account....all the way till November 2011 and I still have a few thousand points to use when that date runs out.

Not bad really as it's not cost me a penny to do it

I also use premium, or is it pro now? I know what you mean about the phd requirements. New interface is a load of crap and every time I try to extend the account it spews out some debug stuff. Also all this new pricing and stuff, I've found it hard to figure out whether it's got more expensive or not. Also thinking it might be getting a bit bait these days (had an account for like 6 years) whats megaupload like on the premium side do you know?

Well as I said above, I cashed some points in and i've got myself another full year "pro" access, with a few thousand points still to use. So perhaps next year I will be able to extend it by another year without spending any money.

As for Megaupload, I have a lifetime premium account, which costs €199.99 (although I bought it when it cost $200 and the £ against the $ was $2 to £1 so it only cost me £100) but it's pretty good. Unlimited sotrage etc etc etc. I mainly use Mediafire now (premium account) as I prefer how you can create lots of folders etc and have everything set up in a very simple way.
