Welcome to this weeks IAAO email.

The football season has now kicked off and all those involved in the fantasy football league are eagerly awaiting the first points results of the opening weekend games. Good luck to those who have joined up, it should be a good competition, plus, we have a pot in which people have put in a fiver and who ever has the highest points at the end of the season will win the pot. If you haven't put your name down for this yet, then take a look here for more info: http://www.its-all-about-oldskool.co...me-here-15453/

I've been speaking to the DJ Vinyl Junkie recently and he has something very special to share with the VIP members of the forum. He has lots of live sets never before released to the public from DJ's such as Ratpack, Ellis Dee, Producer, Pilgrim, Top Buzz, Slipmatt, Kenny ken, Simon Bassline Smith, Sy and of course himself and he will be providing the VIP members with these sets. These are not on the web anywhere, they were never released to the masses. Massive respect goes out to him for doing this for us.

VIP isn't an elitist group, VIP was set up for the sole reason that the site costs money to run and some of the members wanted to share some of their stuff without it spreading all over the net. The only fair way to do this was to use a donation system to help with the costs of running this site and it was decided that a £5 or more donation would be gratefully received and in return, you would get access to a VIP area on the site. This was a by choice method and was the fairest way to do it without creating a elitist group of members. We aren't on a free webhost, we pay for our time online and keeping the site alive. A donation system was set up to help with these costs, just like lots of other sites out there do, so it's nothing new. You can find out more about becoming a VIP here: http://www.its-all-about-oldskool.co...p-member-1904/

Talking of Vinyl Junkie, for those that don't know, he has a fantastic website called Grooveclick. It gives producers, DJ's and artists a platform for their music and to break into the scene and also gives them the opportunity to make some money from their work and get noticed. It's also is set up for the established producers, DJ's and Artists to get more promotion for their work. If you haven't already, then pay it a visit and have a look around, or better still, stick it in your favourites/bookmarks to look at any time. It's well worth a few moments of your time. You can find it here: Grooveclick // Home

It was another great Curly & Swipezster show on Renegaderadio last week, sadly Swipezster couldn't be there but there was the fantastic DJ Silky on hand to take his place. If you missed the show, then you can grab it here: The Curly & Swipezster Show 12-08-10 (thanks again to Dodders for recording it)

Have a great week.

P.S, I've just bought a microphone
