Welcome to this weeks IAAO email.

Being the owner of a website you get a lot of interesting emails every week. In a way I suppose it's similar to those people who win the lottery and receive begging letters. So from people who ask for events to be put on our front page which "may interest your members" to people asking to buy the domain. Believe it or not, I get a couple of these a week from various companies. One even offered me over $3000 for the domain name. I generally ignore these emails but the odd one I have replied to and done what they wanted.

One email I received this week was from a company who make chat room boxes. At first I thought it was either a chat room on another server, or one of those shout boxes you see at the top of some forums. But it turns out it was the Chat function Facebook uses. For those that use facebook, there is a little chat function at the bottom of the page which you can use to chat to friends and family. I had a look at this little piece of software and it was quite an attractive feature. Not big, and not intrusive, just there at the bottom of the forum, exactly like Facebook.

I'm not one for chat rooms on forums because I feel it will take away members from posting as much on the forums, but I kind of liked this feature. Whether I decide to buy it and install it is another matter, but for now, i'm going to leave it.

As for the emails, well they will still continue to come as they always do. I'm just waiting for one off Google offering me £1'000'000 for the site, if that happens, you won't see me for dust. Perhaps David Fincher will make a film about me if that happens and call it the antisocial Network.

This week I will be putting up an announcement about the new House website coming next year, www.its-all-about-house.com you will be able to read a little bit more about it and ask any questions and perhaps give me some feedback and any ideas you would like to see on it. Perhaps those ideas will be used on it. But feedback is always welcome.

We had a new member join the site this week, the IAAO Bot. He is a clever little fellow this member in that he posts news stories from around the world in the news forum. He puts up stories every 12 hours or so from some of the best news sites out there, bringing members all the latest happenings in the world. He's "exclusive" to us and you won't find him anywhere else (apart from his brother, IAAT bot which you can find on the Trance site) Keep an eye out for him (I know some have already met him )

Have a great week.
