Welcome to this weeks IAAO email, where everyday is Christmas day, even on Christmas Day.
Work has now begun on the front page of the forum, which as you will all know, we have a front page which came with the new forum software. It's still in it's experimental phase as I get to grips with the CMS stuff. What you will see at the moment is probably not how it will look in the future. I'm trying out different things and styles and stuff will be added and taken away all the time as I try and get things perfect. What I can say is that it will have easy to navigate sections and categories and each section and category will have other multiple sections for you to look at and admire. Each article will also give you the option to post your comments and rate the posts. User interaction is at the forefront of it but it's not a necessity to make it work. I have lots of ideas and if you have any ideas yourself of what you would like to see or added, then please feel free to post your comments in the feedback section: Feedback, Questions & Suggestions
Anyway, if you want to have a look yourself, just click on the home button at the top of the forum or simple click here: Its All About Oldskool - Oldskool Rave Music Forum - Oldskool Rave Music Forum
A member has finally decided to take the plunge and create their own Blog on the forum, be sure to check it out here: Highlights Of Being A Brummie - Blogs - Its All About Oldskool - Oldskool Rave Music Forum
The Blogs section is there for you and each and every one of you can easily create one yourself to put anything you like in it. Give it a try and see what you can come up with.
We have installed an Inactive User Reminder system on the site. This is a system which sends out email reminders to users who haven't been active on the forums for a certain period of time. It's a gentle reminder that you haven't visited and that we miss you....well not all of you but you get the idea. If you get one of these and you haven't visited in a while, then log in and see what's what.
I did say it last week but I will say it again this week...the labels section will be sorted out. There are now (as I write) 59 labels without a home. I did do a few last week but time ran away from me and I was unable to do as many as I would have liked. I will get there though so please bear with me.
It was mentioned this week about dead links in posts. Can I ask all members that if you find any dead links, then please use the report post feature in that post. Using this will let the Admins and Mods know straight away by email that there is a problem and we can sort it out much quicker. Simply writing in a post that the link is dead will not get seen by us, this helps no one and will only cause confusion about why nothing has been done. Please make sure when you use the report post feature that you put a reason in the box of why you are reporting it.
Have a great week and Merry Christmas.
