    ere boss

So i log in. I have new messages. I read and reply to a couple. I then go to read the hot topics & juicy gossip of the day in the forum of your lovely website. There are no posts to view. I click the 24hrs button. It makes me wait 10 seconds (which for some of the lesser members, could send them into and eternal loop of 24s, 10 secs, back, 24hrs, 10 secs, back). I then begin to view the riches that the IAAO members have poured their hear & souls into. I find a thread that warrants reply (actually it was the first one i looked at but thats not the point). I reply. I then go back to new posts. There is one. Mine. There is no longer the 24hr button to help me. I will have to search. I have probably missed new posts while writing this crap which unless bumped will never see the light of my day. What will you do?

Oh and before you reply "read the forum before answering your PM's" - that is unnacceptable, my fans come first

    Good to be back

Another member has highlighted this problem also - it has to be a bug

Nah mate - has always been this way. Not an issue if you're here regular but if there's a week or 2's worth of threads its a pain in the crack

I do believe this is the forum software (obviously) and it's unchangeable, check with Mr. Sleepy-peepy.

Just found out myself the party smiley is buggy again deleting half your submitted posts.

Man, I love that smiley... even more than the penguins

This isn't a bug. I don't mean to state the obvious here but when you click on what's new and it displays what is new since you last logged on, then you make a new post, then you go back to What's new and there is only your post?

Of course it will, as it's a new post a Post that has been made since you logged in

Here's is a novel way of sorting this so it doesn't do what it is supposed to do.......

First of all click on new posts
see a post you like??? right click and open in new window
reply to that post in your new window
    close your new window
carry on reading new posts in first window

See another post you like??? repeat above steps

But this still doesn't stop all new posts disappearing if you don't respond to the page for 15 mins or so. By the time you've read and replied to messages - or even just get distracted at home, you lose the list of new posts.

No idea then as I don't spend that long looking at them. But what's new works differently to the new posts feature on phpbb (the old software we were using) it confuses even me. There has been talk of an overhaul of the what's new feature but I wouldn't hold you breath.

I would simply look at the posts first and reply later.
