How To Add An Image To Your Post

OK, here is a step by step guide on how to add attachments (as you can see above, it works)

    1) In your main posting box, click on the insert image bbcode (it looks like a picture frame with a tree in the picture

    2) Select either from computer (if you are uploading an image from your own computer) or from URL (this is the preferred method as it's the easiest and most convenient)

    3) If you are selecting from computer, click on select files and select the file from your computer that you want to upload. Then click on upload files (this will then put the picture in your post.

    4) If you want to edit the picture, change size, position etc, then hover your mouse over the picture until you see the little pencil thing appear on the picture. Click on the pencil thing and it will open up the editing options. Select your size (small, medium, large, full size) select where you want to put it (centre, left, right etc etc)

    5) Once you have finished editing the picture click save and it will save your settings.

    6) Click preview post
to see what it looks like before submitting your post. If you are not happy, do some more editing until you have it right. Once you are happy, click submit post and hey presto, you have your post with your image.

As i've told you before, it is much easier to put your image on one of the many image hosting places out there like Photobucket or Imageshack. This will give you a URL to just paste into the URL box from the insert image button.

I hope this little guide helps those of your struggling with pictures.

P.S...it's worth noting here that this was all done on the fly. I have just this second learnt how to do it step by step by going through each stage in the post as I was writing it. My advice to anyone is try and do it yourself, learn it yourself, experiment with the many features this software has to offer. You do not have to submit your post, you have the preview post button to see how it all looks.

I think it must be different on my mac mate coz when i click on insert image it states 'please insert the url of your image' but there's no box that says retrieve remote file? I've faffed around with it & nothing?
