That's because you would have had the old DNS record. Eventually it would update itself which is why you can log on fine now. It was just a case of your ISP catching up with things.

To have the station playing all the time while looking around the forum, just open up the forum in a new browser window and RR will play for as long as you want it to.

10th October 2010 Forum blocks now switched on

You may notice to the right of the forum there are blocks detailing stuff like recent posts, new replies, follow us ect.

I can add a RR player there as well but the trouble is that if you click on a forum, then the player will stop playing. So I will just keep it on the front page for now.

If you want to remove the blocks, there is a little arrow, click on it and they will all disappear. Although it is nice to have them on really as I will be adding some good stuff to them over the coming weeks.

Out of curiousity mate, can you get the threads to auto open in a new tab - that way RR is still running?

There will be a way to do that by messing around with the forum code. But it's not really a road I want to start going down at the moment as there are some big software updates coming over the next couple of months and anything I do change could get reverted back and I would be back to square one.

But lots of great stuff is coming between now and the year end. So keep your eyes peeled.

Certain mods we had installed are not (at the moment) compatible with this new version. You will notice at the bottom of the forum some of the things are missing. Although it's now much neater with a few of the things taken away. That is the main thing which will be noticed. Everything else is still there and working.

27th October 2010 Facebook connect now enabled on the forum

This is pretty cool. You can link your facebook account with the forum (don't worry, no one will see info on you that you do not want to share, it's not like that

)

You can like threads, blogs, articles etc etc and share them on your facebook account.

Have a play around with it. This is the official VBulletin one and not some added mod. It's just taken me ages to get round to setting up the application. I've been using on the official VB site for a while now as they have had it enabled for ages.

Anyway, hit Facebook connect at the top of the screen....just next to your name, notifications etc.

Also, anyone on facebook can now join the forum through their facebook account. So don't forget to tell your friends.

Looking back at all the updates and what the site is now, this site looks like it will go from strength to strength! Kudos to all those that are contributing and helping make this what it is today.
