It is fella, it will show all new threads as well as all new posts. It shows the actual thread which has been replied to, not the individual post.

This is exactly how it was on the old forum.

so a couple of times i've clicked What's New? and, there being nothing new to display, it's offered me the choice of seeing all threads with posts in the last 24 hours.

what's the search term for that china? be handy to know as on occasion i've clicked on a couple of new posts from a pages long list, only to find that when i go back to the list of posts they're no longer showing.

I never generally click on what's New?

I always click on New posts (which is just under the home button)

The way it works is this. Like the other forum it will display all the new posts which have been made since your last logged on visit. When you then log off, and come back again 10 minutes, it will only display the new posts which have been made since your last log on/log off time...10 minutes previous.

I'm guessing, although I could be wrong as I haven't tried it, that if for instance you log on but don't look at the new posts, then log off, then log on 10 minutes later, it will still display all the posts that have been made since you last pressed the new posts button, which could have been a whole 24 hours. I will give this a try to confirm this.

EDIT: Just to be clear here, the New Posts button I press is the same thing as the what's new.

k, i dont actually log off when this happens. i click on a thread, then when i hit the back button all the other new posts have gone...s if i'd logged off. tis not just this forum this happens on i should point out.

was just intrigued by the last 24hrs search option that appears if there are no new posts to list. dont seem to be able to get it to work manually though....anyhoo, not a big deal tbh

Just tried it and it's fine for me Haze. Read a new post, pressed the back button and everything was still there

Not sure of the options that appear though as i've never used them. There's always been new posts to read.

    Very strange.
