    Hey Hey! From Toronto, Canada

Hey there all ya Old Skool cats!

I recently started developing an ever increasing passion for old skool acid house and warehouse rave tunes. A few weeks ago I decided I wanted to try and find as many tracks as I could ranging from 87 to 92 and start a resugence in the old sound here in my city!

I've stumbled on this site and feel like I've found the holy grail!

It' seems though that I don't have access to any of the tunes and sets, so I guess I'll just be patient and hopefully someone will hook me up!

It's really great to see a site like this while I'm just really discovering all this music!!!

    Cheers

    Anthony

Welcome to its-all-about-oldskool Anthony, you couldn't have found a better place Once you have made ten posts you need to request promotion in the "forum promotion" thread, as soon as admin pick that up you'll have access to the rest of the site including lots of good quality tunage & sets [music]

Re: Hey Hey! From Toronto, Canada

There's a really large club scene in this city, but nothing comparable to London or Paris or Berlin, however the real music cats tend to throw alot of house parties and do smaller events. It's a really big time for music in this city and with the audience that I'm a part of, I think people would really dig the kind of tunes I'm wanting to try out on them. Just have to find more of them first!

When I was in Europe a few years ago, it became really apparent to me that over here we are about a year behind everything that's going on on the other side of the pond.

Electro is still the huge pull for the clubs with still a very healthy does of house, techno and hiphop, but we the whole indie scene here is huge as well. Everyone is doing the 80's thing so I'm thinking the stripped down old skool house and rave tunes are just asking for another resurgence!

    We'll see how it goes.
