To be fair...he is still doing it...all be it not a big fan of what he plays now....other than andy c there is no one from the hardcore/dnb/jungle scene that are any where close to him in terms of popularity and crowds who turn up to his gigs and even he is miles away ...stills sells out up north whenever he is in town......ledgend

The northerners love a bit of hero worshipping... It's cos life is so grim, they have to look to a higher power to escape the misery!

Had he been born 2000 years ago, they'd have called him Jesus!

Before I get to Sasha, which is what this thread is about, I always find it hilarious that the southerners always dismiss those DJ's that came from the North, yet the people from the North would always rate and talk about southern DJ's, they didn't just simply dismiss them because of where they were from. A good DJ is a good DJ regardless of where they came from. I think our southern friends need to stop eating those jellied eels because to me it seems a lot of the time it sounds like Jealousy that something north of the border was actually better not in all cases but in some, yet those from the north don't spend their time going on about this, they enjoy the music and they enjoy who is playing it.

As for Sasha, one of the greatest mixers to grace a mixing booth, still is, but he was a boring sod. A technical genius when it came to mixing and one of the best crowd workers ever.

We just preferred things bangin'... None of this flouncing around in Gatecrasher with a load of farmers sons drinking Boddingtons.

Got nowt to do with where they are from either...

& working the crowd means mixing a tune more than once every fifteen minutes!

Sasha was technically excellent and knew how to build a set. He could also react to the mood of the crowd, adjust and take them to where he wanted them to go. A great DJ take you on a journey and that journey can vary. It can be a straight path or it can be a windey one with a few hills and shit in it. Like Nipper. Nipper was all things to all men whereas Sasha was slightly less diverse.

I realise there are musical concepts to interpret here that are far in advance of what some people can actually take in even if they wanted to and didn't have the myopic eyes shut with their heads stuffed up their arses but it's worth saying because there are at least one or two people around here that know what they're talking about!

    Aaaaaiiii?

regardless of whether or not your argument has any validity, i still propose that you are a titfer-tipping, bandy legged, spiv and therefore refute any point or opinion you have of anything north of watford.

Even if i could understand your failed attempt at trying to type in the queens BBC English, which i cant....

You know in your heart my facts are correct, hence you have not retarted in naming even one big name artist that has not moved to London after or during making it BIg

and on that note..... il leave you with some Essex Hardcore Dominating History to wank over

i don't think my statement was incoherant or lacked lucidity, it is the queens english, albeit contrary to your sub standard standard of usage.

luckily i don't pity you for it, you are only a product of your upbringing.

yes im sure all you midland types that have only just reilised you missed the oldskool revival happened over 12 years ago , and have almost no original rave history would give your left eyes to bum any number of old Essex boys just as a salute to our superiority in all things 1988-1995 underground dance music wise.

you may kiss my bum cheeck if you so wish before going back to work at the factory and dreaming about how lush and in the forefront of everything music related Essex is though

You see, that's where we differ. We don't have to rely on technology telling us what is what as we are bright enough to use our fountain of knowledge to come up with smart answers.

Now, where did I put that remote again? Its All About Amy is about to come on.
