Thread: DREAMSCAPE 11 1st July 1994 "What happend"

DREAMSCAPE 11 1st July 1994. The Sanctuary. the night a few thousand can maybe remember. as for me its stuck in my mind for ever not a great feeling the 4 days after that I spent in Milton Keynes Hospital, they said I had had 2 little hart attacks during the morning and in the hospital they had to bring me back from close to poping my glogs..well not in them words..lol I was in there Along with the 5 other lads that got hit bad.there were quite a few more in and out that 1st day, and 1 even a day later on the Sunday. As some off you may of read Eternity issue 20. by Marc G Jeffery.A good Wright up about that very hot night, a few important points may have bin missed. The killer Drug on that night was G.H.B. Mm you say, it was not made public and not a £5 tablet.( £5 for a pill Doesn't sound so cheep nowadays anyway a Marc). And one of the lads did pass away,Things went strange on the ward and one lad had gone the nurses were quiet and sad, I would say I have no real proof. nothing was said about that to much some time early hours of Monday morning it happend the ones of us who were still there on the ward on the morning were asking were he was, but just did not get a straight reply, when I was able to go home thanks to my Cus and Antie for coming out to get me. when I got back to Bristol and to my house I was told about it was on the local ITV news,the story said that both the coaches that were put on from Bristol were stopt by the police befor they got to the motorway as most of the people in the hospital were from Bristol they were thinking the gear had come from there, I should of been on that bus as I was due to go to Dance Plannet that Sat night with another group, my oldskool mob..lol. they found I was in hospital when they called my house to see if I was all ready to goto Cornwall, I did get the tapes from that night and bugger what a night I missed, my friends did not go in the end as I was in a bad way they did it out of respect,, Thanks chaps. The drug its self is a bad one not what we would call a Happy one its a liquid and the police fill it was passed around in a bottle off water I had a interview with the police when I was in hospital they were ok we all just told them what we could remember. As I said to them I was on stuff already that I had taken myself, was going well, then you just do that walk about thing whan your buzzing anyone with me on that one..lol. a gram off bass and 2 dove's can do that to you ..lol. I did not go into the first aid till quit late my mate said he found me in the loos not doing so good, :ymsick:. You will have a larth but at one point I remember the name Easygroove being shouted out by the MC and I just had a rush and had to go back out and dance, was not to bad for a few hours but then it just went all odd my legs went and well just went down like a sack of spunds my mate got the Security as did the MC, nice one all.. and I stayed in the first aid room till the end of the party, but had a funny ture out side in the car park and almost got hit by a lorry parking my mates pulled me out the way or as they said dragged me, it was then when John Nation spoted us and he came over and could see I was in a bad way so he got over the police and they called for an Ambulance, so a big shout to you John he used to sort out the coaches from Bristol to the raves. Still A good night.. A bloody hot one that it was. [sweatdrop] was out for a few months but got back into raves in the October, Hysteria- Pure X, I think. I will say I did no drugs that night and well still had a ball..Peace out... go steady people....

it just shows you....drugs is a dangerous game and one of the reasons why I didn't meddle too often. In fact hardly at all, cept a few here and there...like whizz and draw. Is that the Hypnol drug GBH you're talking about? It's lethal and doesn't mix well with alcohol or especially E; I've had it a few years back. A friend warned just to have 2 or 3 intakes. I ended up having about 6...as well as alcohol. Then in one pub, at the bar I started to fade and I actually crashed my head against the bar. I was escorted out the pub with a slightly bleeding head, where some of my friends came to tend to me...I wasn't in good shape either, I kept falling asleep and hitting my head on the pub bench. Eventually one of the doorstaff offered to call me a taxi but in my infinite non-wisdom I declined, said I was 'alright'. No, I wasn't.

I spent the next few hours trying to make my way home. I fell on the curb numerous times and almost cracked my skull. Still, despite all the bumps and bangs I still felt drowsy and dreamy - like I was in a sleepwalk or hypnotic state. I collapsed in the road and was nearly run over, I just about scrambled back on to pavement where I crashed over into someone's garden. They actually came out and offered to help but again I declined and said I was ok.

About an hour later I was sick in on the road and I started to sober up. The effects of the drug waned and I was able to feel lucidity again. I bumped into some younger people who knew my brother and I spent time catching my breath and licking my wounds as they offered me cigs and some company. I felt ashamed considering I was probably a good 12 years their senior. The whole ordeal was so strange because I was aware what was happening I just couldn't control my legs...I kept stumbling everywhere. And earlier that night my best friend had toddled off home because he'd caved in and just couldn't handle anymore...it was a bizarre night. I had this nice new white hoodie I bought afew weeks earlier in Torquay which was spattered with blood that evening; with stains I couldn't remove.

But the memory of what was happening sticks in my mind and I'm damn lucky I didn't get myself killed in the road stumbling around trying to get back home. No moral to the story, just read and decide for yourself. Everyone's experiences are different, but that was the one and only time I meddled with that drug. Never again.

ghb is nasty stuff. whilst on tour in LA in jan 2002 i was handed a bottle of water by a friend of a mate - i needed a drink to swallow a pill - i took one swig, tasted it immediately as something other than water and spat the whole lot (pill too) out. didn't swallow a drop, yet i still got a slightly mongy effect from it. the guy who had given it to me drank most of the bottle and we had to carry him out of the venue! horrid horrid stuff

ghb was the stuff in small bottles wasnt it,that was used to enhance other stimulants you had taken ??

or am i totally off key

i never took any but i can certainly remember bottles of the stuff floating around my friends

why would you take something to enhance,surely that defeats the object of taking the 1st stimulant

by the way i loved partying at the santuary,but the place always had issues because they cramed to many partiers into the place,even if you stood by one of the doors leading out to the fair area you would be instantly soaked in sweat,and the promoters would turn off the cold taps,something iv always been against...

and sometimes the sound system was so lame all you could hear at times was the whistles & horns

but yup i enjoyed partying at bletchly or how ever its spelt

shame they knocked the two arenas down to make way for the football stadium......football !! who wants to get fit running around after a football when you can rave lol

m Your so right tomahawk, it was like a dream can still remember most of what was happening, like you said sleep walking, never took a drink from any one els after that night at a rave or club.. :ymapplause:
Its just bad gear just dont go there if you know there is somthing up , good call Haze on spiting it out would of messed your night up..

yeah I nearly kiled myself that night. It was the last time I did anything of that nature - I just didn't want to waste my life when in my head I still had so much I wanted to achieve

My belief is, is that everyone wants to have a great time, but if that's not already in your heart, in your mindset - it certainly isn't in any drug either. It's all about attitude. You can be happy without any pseudo-chemical enhancing intoxicant, and you can benefit from avoiding all the horrific side-effects they might bring. It just depends on whether you can believe you can be happy in the first place...it's a philosophy. Most people in the hey-days felt that E or other drugs were the gateway to this form of euphoria associated with the scene. Anyway, I'm no preacher or moraliser; I'm just more cautious and distrusting of drugs and their 'affects' and the people that would be selling them on...I had so many outrageous nights out drug-free that people were actually convinced I WAS on something...I wasn't, except maybe a few times here and there. :ymdevil:

Some good stories there and worrying ones. i never boverd with the stuff but 2 lads i went out with acouple of times use to take the stuff, i remember when they went to global gathering mickey was bad but not in the way you have said, he had a massive paranoid mind fucker that smashed him for nearly aweek after, his brother had to look after him as he was in hysterics, something scared the hell out of him...

Did he ever say what it was? I remember my experience being soft and dreamy; it was like I had stumbled into the twilight zone, car lights were huge like flying saucers and there were hardly any sounds or distrubing ones at least, everything was kind of quiet like I was in a box yet I could sense danger all around me without actually feeling afraid, just that I couldn't stay upright until it weared off. No wonder it's a date rape drug, it just takes over you - completely. Very very frightening thing. Not really to be trifled with.

i was on one of the coaches... can still remember that night. as i was selling bass before the coaches left.... when we did get stopped we all had to get off the coach from one long q give are names and address...... shitting my self i got john nation( coach orgenizier and bristol exposure promoter) telephone and phoned my dads solicerter to tell him i might be in trouble.... was told that the police could not arest me nor can their take my photo.... i was second from last to see the police. told them stright... am not given you my name and your not taking my photo..... was told yes we are.... bollocks i said i phoned my solcerter and he says you cant do this.. you have to aresst me 1st..... the bastard police made us both coaches wait for 2 hour until i did give them my name and photo..........

we took up 5 coaches from bristol....... i had all my money from sell bass before the coaches left... and had more money for murray as i was selling tickets and more money form helping do the coaches.... in all i had 2.000... i went thought the v.i.p. que. and got in. passed the bouncers checks then bam the police got me.... took me in to the small room in the front of the san. on the left hand side... in the room they had a whole wall with photos on it.. and mine was on their... their told me i was a dealer and they had beeen watching me for some time now.. asked were the money came from and did not belive me... looked up my ass. took the money and give me a recet for it..... .
inside the rave found murrays misses and told her what happened... 2 hours latter murray found me and took me to the head police to sort it out with john nation..... we got the stuff back... i was so looking forward to this night as i was ment to help john run the roller stage. in the end i sat by myself behind the stage smoking pot and drinking the free beer..

from then on. murray made sure that i was always in side the rave 5 hours before it kicked off.... to help get ready.......

No mate at least my mate never said anything to me. All he said was that they were passing that stuff round on the bus to global gathering and everything was ok, they got in the place and about 1hr later mickey started feeling threatend and dissapeard, they found him on the bus hiding (sorry) and he was like that for the next couple of days after... This is not a paranoid person in general and he can handle his drugs, ive been with him on some mega binges..

:ymsick: My mates were on the one of the coaches they said they almost shit them pants as well "awesome 3"...lol a mad night had by all I do think. .It was the other way round at Universe and Fantazia raves the police check piont first as some mate found out ..Bummer, no pun intented,,lol,,,but the ued to drop me and my mate of way befor the site and walk the gear in. they only were realy stopping the cars, so we just had to dill with the seurity .. good times but onec they did drop us of a bit far away so we were not to happy when we got there and seen them inside...lol,, not for long tho..

GOING BACK TO THE GHB THING YOU NEED TO HAVE A REALLY SMALL AMOUNT AND IT GIVES YOU A GOOD COMING UP ON A GOOD E BUZZ. IF YOU HAVE TO MUCH CURTAINS I CLEARED 2 TABLES OF DRINKS PASSING OUT ON THAT SHIT IN A BAR, DODGY HOME MADE STUFF.
