Dutch or Uk Hardcore in the 1990's

Well this my opinion and only my opinion i think Uk hardcore wins hands down mainly due to Scott Brown who influenced both scenes before 95 in holland you had a lot of dark stuff then he came along with his bouncy riffs and the scene changed forever. However though by 97 the English and Dutch scenes on the happier tip were almost the same and the Scottish scene at that time had almost run it's course mainly due to rip of off's of Scott Brown tunes also i could be totally wrong as a lot of the nineties were a complete blur to me .lol

If this talk is about Gabber my vote goes to the Netherlands.

Personally I can't stand any hardcore that came out after 93, but when it come to the early stuff I liked alot of what was coming out of Europe, especially on R&S. But there was still a hell of alot more being produced in the UK that ticked my boxes

R&S records is a good label i like all the C.J. Bolland stuff on the label The Prophet is a class tune. I remember hearing it on an album called Trance Europe Express.

I preferred UK (breakbeat) up to around 1993, although as rogue said there was a lot of good 4beat (techno / hardcore) stuff from europe around too. i liked the dutch stuff until about 1994 maybe early 1995 when it started getting a bit too cheesy!
