the first record / cd / tape that you ever bought?

OK a bit embarrasing but I think the first vinyl I ever bought was Falco - Rock Me Amadaeus Followed shortly by a-ha - take on me!!! I was only 6yrs old! Every week when I got my £1 pocket money I used 2 buy a second hand 7" for £0.69 from the local shop! Just 2 redeem myself here I bought my 1st hardcore / jungle tune on vinyl when I was 15 in '92 - 2 bad mice - 4 bad remixes

don't be embarrassed i LOVED that tune, must have been about 8 years old i thought he was the next Adam Ant!

my first vinyl was dj Seduction - Really Dark
first tapes were Top Buzz - Second Sight, 2 Blacks and a Bubble part 1 B-) although the MC brings back good memories it kind of ruins the music for me, you could never put the tape on at a party for example without someone thinking it was shit

First i bought was Ultravox - Vienna

First music i was totally into from my parents collection was the original Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells.
Still remains a very influencial record to me to this day.

Re: the first record / cd / tape that you ever bought?

Well, I bet you will laugh at me but my first cd that I received as a birthday present was this one:

    http://www.discogs.com/Die-Schl%C3%B...elease/1794850

It contained 12 covered eurodance songs with the vocals of the smurfs and re-written (quite silly) lyrics.

When I played this during my birthday party we all went nuts

Nowadays, I would never buy something like this again but at that time i was just 8 years old and didn't know what was good and what not.
