Thread: the first record / cd / tape that you ever bought?

good choice on your first techno vinyl selection

My 1st record was " I don't like Mondays" by good old Sir Bob and his boomtown rats. With Prince Charming as 1st Album Quality listening..

My first purchase was Prodigy - Charly on XL 7".
First mix tape came about a year later, SS and Gemini from Total Kaos. never seen this set posted, a shame since my tape isn't best quality (as they never were...!)

It was either motley Crue - Shout at the devil or Iron Maiden - number of the beast back in 1982.
First house record I bought was Ce Ce Rogers - Someday / Forever.
20+ years later someday is still one of my favorite songs.

I was skipping school at the time and hanging out in the record shop when the guy there put this on and I bought it strait away, had to use my dinner money and borrow a few quid off my mates!
I think my first CD was The Cranberries! haha
I had loads of home made tapes with various stuff like The Jam, Madness, Chilli Peppers and of course, pirate radio!
