Got my Bass Generator 6 Data DVD mix & tune pack yesterday...

& to be fair i'm happy that i've got nearly 30 gigs of mixes & tunes... But he said they were ID3 tagged (not sure what that is).... & the majority of them have a vague event & year... The rest of them are just abbreviated names of DJ's & events... So i'll probably be posting a shitload of unknown requests... & alot of the single tracks on the DVD's are from mixes... So pointless even having them

I've got alot of work ahead of me IDing these mixes/events/years & will be asking for help on here... Mediafire permitting that i can upload them

ID3 tags are the info on the files like Artist, Track name, Year, Genre etc etc

Well they weren't ID3 tagged then... Details on the files are vague to not there

Whenever i download something or before i upload it (nowadays...) i make sure i put as much detail as possible in the properties of the files

I've probably got at least half of the discs properly categorised on my hard drive anyway... Just bitterly disappointed the discs were thrown together with no real thought to anybody who would like correct information, or any information on what they had just bought

Yeah, but I only got 4 DVD's so he must have changed the deal after I bought it.

The BG tunes just have the track name.
Think the sets have a bit more info like xxxx at Rez III or something.

Thought there would be more stuff that I've not already got tbh. Not really had time to look but it says all BG back cat is on there including unreleased. Was hoping for all Judgement days sets ever recorded too but its mostly Rez which I've got 90% of already.

Hopefully I'll find it of more use than what I've seen when I have a proper look.

The BG back catalogue may be there, not sure... Most of the mixes are in 128kbps, not sure about the tracks?

I've started catagorising the mixes & this is what i've found on my discs:

    Judgement Day:
JD - Perth - Live Sets (11 mixes)
JD @ Ice Factory (whole night) - 1 file - 433 MB at 192 kbps
    Judgement Day 5 - 3 mixes
The Final Judgement - 6 mixes
182 more Judgement Day mixes i need to sort out that aren't labelled very well

    Fubar - 6 mixes

    Lurve Special 13/02/93 (also says 94 & 95) - 7 mixes

    Rezerection - 16 mixes

    Misc Mixes - 44

Tracks - 623 (Oldskool, Happy Hardcore & Techno)

Hmmm. Looking at what you have, in terms of the JD mixes, I would have been better getting what you have.

I cant go and check whats on mine cos my mate has em, but I'm sure it mostly Rez mixes, BG back cat and some tunes BG himself used to cain BITD off various labels. Can remember thinking I wish there were more JD when I scanned thro.

I'll put the Judgement Day sets up here at some point & you can grab em mate

I'll start going through the tracks tomorrow after work & see if the back catalogue is on there...

Just looked at the properties for The First Rebirth (on the disc) & it's only 160!

I've just spent the last 3 hours going through the tracks on the discs for the back catalogue & all of them are at 160kbps.

I've been putting in all the correct info in the properties from Discogs, organising into folders with pictures etc

So far the problems i've found are these:

    GTX 001 is missing Tracks B1 & B2
GTX 002 is missing Track A2
GTX 014 is missing Track B1

Can't be arsed to do anymore tonight, going to have my tea then enjoy a few tins before bed

I got that when i first looked at the discs... It's his label so why are they at 160? & some that i listened to were lifted from mixes!

Alot of the mixes have been downloaded from the internet too... Evident in the properties from other stuff i've downloaded.

    All that i have is properly tagged & i don't sell it... I could but i won't.

That sounds pretty poor to say its come from the source.

I'll have to go and get mine back and see what I've got.

The good news is the full label is there (except for the tracks missing mentioned above)... I couldn't verify if the mixed cassette releases were there as i don't have anything to compare them to & there is quite a few Judgement Day mixes.

The bad news is they are all at 160 kbps.

The tracks from the label were in upper case & after completing the label there are 32 tracks left in upper case that i am assuming are unreleased?

Yes, the label tracks are in upper case. Will take some time with Discogs I think to go thro them when I get chance. Think I've already got the ones you said werent there so might be alright in that respect.

I'm presuming the JD mixes are on the one or two of the DVD's I didnt get.

I'm off to York in the morning till saturday for some chill time. When I'm back, I'll go get my DVD's and have a butchers thro and see if it completes what I've got. Think most of the stuff I'm missing is in the 30's but I know theres holes all over the label as its not been easy to get. Will up what you need if I have it.

Got my copy back last week and what a fucking shambles this set is. It really doesnt make me wanna sort thro it at all. Putting CD rips on there is a joke and a lot of the tunes are missing bits off the front or back end. Hopefully I can just syphon the bits of BG back cat out I need and the JD sets and then launch this joke of a pack.
