hi old skoolers,
i dont know whether im gonna be on my own with this,but i think helter skelter's were the best raves ever,they just got better and better,actually i think they peaked in 97.and when they tried to re-start them after the millenium it just wasnt the same,the vibes just wernt there,coz everyone just sort of knew that dave & penny had just re-opened for the cash.where before i felt that they were doing it because they genuinely loved the scene and they made you feel part of it.(with the hs news letters etc).i used to have alot of respect for dave pratley because of the way he stuck with all the original mc's and dj's that had been playing at hs from the beggining,even when man parris,and mc massive were really starting to sound a bit dated he kept on booking them.and when skibba,shabba and eksman were tearin down one nation,slammin vinyl etc,he stuck with mc mc,gq,warren g etc.
id love to see helter skelter start back up,with the original line up's of mc's and dj's.(even man parris).
like to hear what people think...................

i know man parris and mc massive, and have done for donkeys years massive used to dj for helter skelter in 91/92 but he kept getting off his head so dave let him mc at a few events. if you listen to him, half the stuff he says is recycled man parris lyrics! (which used to annoy him) and that was the stage in the later years anyway, that man parris got into crack. bad times for him and it showed in his mc'ing as well. he's well out of it now, as well as mc'ing and promoting amnesia house, he teaches music studies at buxton uni now. massive is still dj'ing and holds his own parties called midlands underground.

i only went to a couple of the big helter skelters, i preferred the vibe when they held nights at milwaukees. im sure i read somewhere that dave is getting back into promoting again? might be wrong though lol.

i never went to HS wish i had love the livesets and still bash them out today having a collection of 34gb.. i to have heard HS maybe doing something in the future, why not everyone else is coming back event wise

ive still got all my news letters lol. ill scan a load for u if u want? think ive got them all from 97 onwards.had a look at them few months back,makes me laugh the one where they say they will never book gq again because he keeps lettin them down! yeah i heard that man parris was teachin now,he was good in the early days,but as the music got faster his style jus didnt sit right with the music.as for massive,he was always a better dj than a mc.

maybe ill post up a load of old news letters in this thread............

ok mate,just looked at that flyers site,i got soooo many to put on there.will have to be at the weekend.got all helter skelter from 96 onwards,dreamscape,slammin,adrenalin,fusion,hardco re heaven etc. got that huge dreamscape 26 flyer aswell.

You need to join somewere to upload you pictures to like - http://photobucket.com/ (it's free)

Once the picture has uploaded to photobucket - right click on the picture and choose - properties

Then were it says - Location, it will have a adress (example) - Location http://i481.photobucket.com/albums/rr17 ... 1269511762

Highlight that adress (your picture) then put it inbetween the [img]HERE[/img]

I went to few HS bitd, my first was Enery'96 which was the nuts .

Energy '97 was awesome In all fairness HS were the dons back in those days and were completely unfuckwithable .

talking of helter skelter...

has any one got a video of helter skelter outdoor with alten 8 think it was 90 or 91....
