    Recommend some Headphones....?

Managed to break my current set of headphones through a combination of being a stoned lummux & having a large melon!!

So, need to get myself a new decent set of cans (looking at spending up to £150) as I listen to them all the time whilst the missus is watching some tat on the box.... [music]

Question is, what's my best options & what would you recommend?

You can't go wrong with a pair of Sennheisers

only one answer to this question imo

    senheiser hd-25 http://www.sennheiser.co.uk/uk/home_en. ... nes_502188

only headphones i've used in the last 15 years. well worth the pennies!

dont be tempted to cheap out on the HD-25sp version though as they are pants in comparison

    i beg to differ

i bought a pair of skullcandys GI's, never again. the sound quality is shit and they broke within a couple of months from normal use. they looked the bollocks but sounded horrible and distored a lot.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro, 80 ohm

    Nice little review here:

These are the ones I have - top quality sound & extremely comfy. Also doesn't hurt your ears after time, like some can.

well im not as professional as some of you guys, but iv always favoured sonys

iv owned three pairs of v700 and love them and under 100 quid i think there a bargain, although i would say the build quality is a bit pants and mine always seem to screw up at the hinges, which some will say crap crap crap, but i am fairly brutal with my headphones in the way i rip them of my head etc etc

i take it you've never played out using them? i thought they were ok for home use, but when i played out they were a nightmare. they couldn't handle bottom end at all, i had to turn them right down and mix from the hi-hit rather than the kickdrum. this is how bad they are; i went back to using my numark HF125's over them.
