Thread: Something that annoys me...

Whilst i'm pissed & not fully aware of the ramifications of what i'm about to say (that i will apologise for afterwards)...

Why are there so many DJ's with huge vinyl collections that don't upload them here?

I 'used' to be a DJ, wouldn't class myself as more than a bedroom DJ now... But most of my vinyl i have ripped & upped for this forum... Now i know there are quite a few DJ's of different styles on this forum but they haven't bothered to rip & up the vinyl they have... I'm wondering why?

They are happy to take & request & like a tit i will buy it if i like it then rip & up for them...

I'm probably going to annoy alot of people with this post but i'm just going to say a big fuck you to them... At least i have done my best where as they have sat back & watched not bothering to include their great wealth of vinyl to this forum... Some have but they haven't really given their all...

It annoys me because i'm unemployed & i spend my money on vinyl when i shouldn't... They are gainfully employed on more than i could possibly earn but don't shell out for vinyl unless they 'have to' which isn't very often coz tits like me spend my rent on tunes they want blah blah blah

Why is it the unknown people who supply the tunes here when the 'known' people or people earning good money just take & give very little back...

Yes you've guessed it, i'm pissed... But i'm just saying what's on my mind... Any millionares out there want to buy the Safeways EP and post it?... Didn't fuckin' think so... It'll fall down to the grunts who have nowt to supply them,.

I'm sure there are people with the same opinion as yourself.. For me, I never really download singles etc so have never really thought about it.

Well basically as I'm a noob, I haven't really had time to see what not on here, I don't have a massive amount of oldskoolhardcore, most of my tunes are drum and bass, I think I've possibly got one record of any worth so far that I couldn't see here,it's some justice-nookie remix and a tune on the other side,apart from that every thing I have is on here, so that's me, and no I'm not buying mastersafe safeways ep by myself

Ridegroover mate, as long as you are a sound bloke which i believe you are, that's all that matters... If you can't add tunes then personality is the winner

so where does this this paranoia and wierdness come from?

i have 3000+ 12"s and i have burned no more than two tunes for this forum. Its not a selfish thing, i have took maybe 10 mixes and 5 tunes from this site. the long and short of it is that i simply don't have the time to sit there recording my tunes for other people. i spend my time with my family and i suspect most members on here do the same, or something similar. If you are willing to spend money on tunes that you want, then cool. if you are buying tunes for 50% you and 50% for the forum, that makes you either a mug or somebody who is very dedicated.

I know that you are very dedicated to the scene, but maybe lay off buying tunes for other peoples approval?

If you have a huge vinyl collection, how much time does that take to rip it?

We're all nearing 40 (except Dodders, who doesn't count) and have kids, work etc.

I can understand that DJ's have lives & families too & i'll be honest, i'm jealous... I've got fuck all except the music... My opinions may be strong but they haven't been diluted yet & when i'm under the thumb i probably wont be arsed to post tunes

Until then expect me to provide tunage with the help of this dedicated forum & the fannytastic members

I only recently have started buying vinyl again - mostly hardcore breaks and only 4 oldskool vinyls which i will rip when i get Serato and a laptop sometime next year

Some people don't have the time to rip stuff on a regular basis and others don't have the means to rip their vinyl and others just can't be arsed
