Saw this on Discogs and wondered what people feel about some of the contenders on this list?

in my opinion it's a great guideline for diverting from all the anthems and usual fare I know of...I think it's more a list of what members want, as opposed to 'Best Of..'. There are some real gems on there, which does show you that not all the so-called 'classic' are simply the best of the genre(s)....I love lists like this because it introduces me to so much 'new' material...it's awesome x3 in my onions

    You crack me up

There are some gems on the list but there are some which shouldn't be there in my opinion - there are a load more obscure rarities which are better then some of those listed.

I guess they're there because memebers want them; it's a more a poll of what is wanted by the massiv.....alright then fancy pants, giv e us some examples....what's there that shouldn't be there?! What SHOULD be there?!?!?!

Hehe - glad I amuse you What I meant was I think the list(s) are great because they introduce peeps to lots of tunes you might not have heard, need ID'ing (several in my case), and with YT video links you can hear the tunes and suss out for your self. Cogs has become like a virtual record store; that's one of the best things about the 'Net....lots of obscurier/rarer stuff has turned out to be some real wants for me...a lot on that list. I'm sure there's some duds, but I don't know ALL of them, because I haven't shown the patience to click on everyone!

I wonder what others think? It's always subjective - especially '100 of..' lists

I wasn't laughing at your response tomahawk - but you were going on about onions x3 - this made me laugh

But going back to the list there is one EP that springs to mind from memory is Ecology - Ecology EP - there is only one good tune on that EP - Feel The Vibe. Even then it's not one of Ecology's greatest tunes - they have made better tunes. But people only want the vinyl because it's rare not because the tunes are any good - which to me seems pointless

It's based on a percentage of how many people are listed as owning the record compared to how many are listed as wanting it....

That's why Release - The Jungle/Musical Movements in number one as 16 own it yet 208 want it....

Seems a fair enough system of measurement to me.... Iamdek also has lots of tracklists & other stuff on his discogs page.

Acen - Close Your Eyes / Window In The Sky
Foul Play - Finest Illusion / Screwface
Origin Unknown - Eastern Promise EP
    Untouchables - N'Joi This

I can't see how the above are in the top 100 most obscure tracks from 91/93.
I think everyone i knew bitd had these in their record bags including me?
