Here's my 5 in no particular order;
BOARDS OF CANADA - GEOGADDI.jpg
Boards Of Canada's 'Geogaddi' - One of my favourite groups and in my opinion, their best album. Sort of retro ambient with a future electronic twist. 'Sunshine Recorder' is just awesome! Music to wake up to in a field in the summertime.
RADIOHEAD - KID A.jpg
Radiohead 'Kid A' - I was late in getting into Radiohead. Dismissed them as being pretentious indie tosh. But after hearing a few of their more experimental tunes, I soon got their music. 'National Anthem', 'Optimistic' and 'Idioteque' are the best tracks for me.
Attachment 146
Renegade Selector - Series 1 - This was one of my first proper jungle compilations and probably my absolute favourite. All tracks featured are total anthems and it still sound fresh today. Top album!
Attachment 145
Odd Nosdam 'Level Live Wires' - A new artist I got into here. The sound of this album is offbeat ambient, with heavy emphasis on 'drone' noise and dub sound. There's a lot of beauty on the tracks here, especially 'Kill Tone'. Gorgeous album!
Attachment 144
Unkle 'Psyence Fiction' - For a long while I only really listened to jungle/drum & bass and a few techno albums, but after being intrigued by some DJ Shadow stuff, I picked up 'Psyence Fiction' and was blown away. There's a lot of crossovers with top indie scenesters on this one, but the creativity of the music is just sheer genius. 'Drums Of Death' is a banging, dark hip-hop track too!
Vinyl Addiction
Oasis - Definitely Maybe
Blur - Leisure
David Guetta - Pop Life
Duran Duran - ..., i can't decide.
Deadmau5 - It sounds like
if you asked me 10 months before, the answers would have been totally different.
