    Certainly was a wet one.

I remember standing at the entrance and the wind nearly blowing me over , rain pelting my back . Brilliant night !!

Yep, I've got that. I seem to remember there was a debate whether it actually was the Grooverider set. But then again I could be thinking of something different. I'll up it later today.

I've got the Ellis Dee tape somewhere, from this night which doesn't actually sound like a typical Ellis Dee set-proper strange selection

I'm not convinced any of the supposed Vision sets are actually from Vision? I had the Seduction original tape bitd which was fully labelled up as Vision etc but the tunes were more late September/October '92 as opposed to August & it was a much darker offering than the usual Seduction sets....? Also, there's a bit of MC'ing on part of the tape (only a few seconds) where he is saying 'sounds of the DJ Mickey Finn.... we'll take you to the edge'? It made sense to be a Mickey Finn set due to the tune selection but whether it was from The Edge or not, who knows?

Does anyone have the original tapes to either Grooverider or Ellis Dee as I never even knew these sets existed until they popped up on Pureoldskoolers?

Ellis Dee didnt actually play this event, the promoter used his name to gain punters for it, and then proceeded to have someone else play what was supposed to be his set, and thats official from ellis dee himself!
Big up all crew no matter where ya comin from!

    Re: Vision - Popham 1992

i had it years ago, but lost it, the dj played Awesome 3 "Don't Go" and other tunes. It didn't sound like an Ellis Dee set from that era (he had his own sound back then certain tunes were a staple part of his sets and I don't think them tunes were on it). The Rider set sounded like a Rider set. Even though they had the on-tape printing and official inlays - I think there was some kind of DAT mix up/ issue and the "real" "live" sets didn't come through and some random ones did instead. The Vision "Warehouse Concept" sets were the real thing as they have MC's on them confirming its Vision.
