I like all three, but singles are my fav. Albums are good if i have a long time to wait (for whatever reason) and sets are good fun for idle listening, but most of the time i prefer singles.
I thought I would bump this topic as the trend here, or what seems to be here (on this site I mean) is singles are the kings.
Is this true do you think?
i still prefer and listen to the livesets daily![]()
But since getting deck's i have been getting and listening to alot of Singles lately and suprisingly im loving the 1993 German Trance :ymblushing: just wish it wasnt so pricey
Still singles for me.....![]()
The old sets just aren't good enough in sound quality compared to a well ripped single, plus no MC's shouting their heads off whilst I'm driving down the high street!!![]()

Mostly live sets but when me girlfriend and little 'un are away I bust out the vinyls and have a rave on my own!![]()
ive listened to live sets everyday for the last 16yrs. cant get enough. [music]![]()
"bicep curls, what are they? real men deadlift".
Singles
Decks in storage at moment, so it's sets followed by albums followed by singles.
By albums, I don't just mean oldskool.
Fair amount of breaks in there, although most of that woiuld be classed oldskool now.
Listening to new BT album at the moment, it's bearable.
Hopeing new Hybrid album will be better when that arrives on Wednesday.
Anyway, enough about that......![]()
Movement In Still Life is gonna take some beating!Originally Posted by payney

Correctamundo matey - one of the all-time classic breaks/progressive albums.Originally Posted by Rogue_D

Only Hybid can pull that off now I reckon.
Here's something you might like, wait for the breakdown around 4:30 - bliss!![]()
Great video too, very trippy:

Bit off topic, sorry!
Yeah I know that tune well, this is the same version that Sasha used to play, the version that's not on Movement In Still Life. You don't have an mp3 of it do you? :ympray:Originally Posted by payney

Yeah it's a cracking mix, the one Sasha plays on GU13 I think.
You're in luck anyway mate, here you go:

Enjoy! [music]
His new album is a bit of a mixed bag - some breaky elements in there but usually intros and outros - it's quite poppy really compared to his older stuff, virtually every song has vocals on it (usually about 'love' - how original!). Doesn't really do it for me.
Yeah that's the one! Sasha in his prime IMO, just as BT was in his prime back then [music]Originally Posted by payney

Back on topic, at the moment I'm listening to single tracks as I've got a selection for my training and I'm properly loving them as they are my favourites and it's a diverse choice, from Oasis to Young MC and Altern 8 to Slipknott!! [music]
Yeah man, that tune fuckin' RULES!!! Can't belive it's nearly 10 years old.Originally Posted by Branners

If you like that tune Branners, you should get a copy of 'Movement in Still Life' by BT or 'Wider Angle' (or anything pretty much) by Hybrid - some of the most innovate and downright frickin awesome progressive breakbeat you're likely to hear!![]()
I've been listening to a lot of DJ Zinc lately anyway - mostly EPs. That man is seriously cool, always has been! B-)
