    Gotta be 1992, innit?

Although I liked the earlier acid/house days, 1992 was the year of wild abandon, hedonism, and shaking my ass on the speaker stacks!

Would have to be 93, can never beat that first time! 94/95 were when i properly started going though so they were my best years overall.

92, Standard!! Roaring Breakbeats, Uplifting melodies, Filthy riffs, Ear shattering Sub Bass.

Serious music, fun music, Intelligent music, Ground breaking Music, exciting Music, more influences than any genre has ever had (hmmm, this could be an exageration but you get my point!) Simply, the nuts!

92 was good but it all went overground and got a bit silly imo.

Yeah but as an answer some of the stuff released after all the children theme tunes had been rinsed really opened the door to 93, jungle and all that preceeded. Bukem, Groover, Jack frost all these Dj's pushed some sick music... Noise factory, Trace, admitedly Crystal was 93 but he came through influenced by some of these artists... Just look at After Dark - Come together (Dave Charlesworth) and dare I say it, any of Ruffige Kru's ep's... Siiiiick!

I went to my first rave in 1992 (Toon Town San Francisco) and hosted a few in my college town... but really started going to raves in 92/93. Personally I like the techno, jungle, breakbeat music produced in 1992 and 1993 best of all. I think that by 1994 and 1995 it starts to get "diluted".

    IMO L8 94/95

    Hi all,

Unfortunately I was only just able to get into some raves by '93 and it's very difficult to choose an exact year but come up with late 1994 early 1995.

So gutted that I was not able to go to any of the earlier events like The Edge, Fantazia etc etc and just had to settle for the videos and cassettes. I guess my answer would be different if I was born slightly earlier.

On the plus side I'm lucky that was out there before the big divide between Hardcore and DNB because that's when I started to notice a change in atmosphere.

    Take it ezy ppl...
