I voted more young new DJ's mate.

I should have gone for others and explained why though. Although the attraction of big names is good, I don't think they would attract new listeners on a regular basis ie people would just tune in for their show imo.

Listening to new blood (not necessarily young) who no-one has heard of would defo make me want to listen.

I voted for more events streamed live for what it's worth. I think it's always very interesting to hear what's going on in a club as it happens on the decks, so you can kind of experience the vibe, with video it's even better!

it's like going out, but staying at home

Know what you're saying Ray but it could potentially kill a night/scene. I know for a fact I'd say "fook it, I aint going, I'll listen on the tinterweb"

We need to keep the scene alive

Putting my sensible hat on (which isn't often), I voted for more forum DJ's as they are guaranteed a following already!

I've gone for more genres on this one.

I believe the more genres, the more diverse the station will become. Bringing in new listeners and new fans of the station.

dunno really, I just thought that was the most fresh idea to be honest, I do also think having a forum slot is a good idea too, that would have been my second vote, but I can't vote twice

To be fair though it's upto the DJ playing what they play & i've heard many genres played on there...

I'm waiting on a new crossfader for my mixer then i'm going to sweet talk Dan & Livs into me having a set... & i will play everything (probably badly)

Not voting as yet as i haven't decided - but i'm deffo in agreement with Melon head about the live thing. It'd have to be something REAL special that absolutely no-one could get too.

Oh and as much as i agree with the more boys from here - and i really do think it'd be a good crack with some of us lot on most nights - i also think it runs the risk of becoming a forum station if that makes sense. And lets be honest Renegades MUCH bigger than that

Very true Leon but I also think DJ's have an identity.

In other words when you tune into Gersh and Aston, Tyree, Curly and others, you know what kind of show and genres to expect. Curly may mix it up here and there and Gersh and Aston will, but you know it will be Oldskool classics.

So DJ's have an identity and I think that's important. It's great to mix things up but (and I don't like saying this because some of the best DJ's don't give a crap about genres, they just play good music and that is the most important thing to remember here) but if I go (not anymore) to see a particular DJ, and that DJ plays Dub Step and I expected a Trance set, I'd be pretty gutted.

Yes it's great when certain DJ's play various genres and don't stick to the norm, I also think it's great to have a bit of structure and knowing that when you lock onto the Curly show, you will be hit with a particular genre.

tbh i think a weekly slot were new djs can showcase there talent would be good, deferent person each week but i have no idea how a internet station is run so dont know if that would be a nightmere to do . but if it was possable i think there a few people on here that would like a shot

I did vote for genres as that is my number one choice but bringing through fresh talent on a monthly or weekly basis is a good idea as well. There are lots of folks out there and talented ones who never seem to get a shot. Showcasing up and coming talent is giving people a shot and it may lead on to bigger and better things.
